We have recruited Paramedic Practitioners who are clinically trained to see all types of patients. They are currently not independant prescribers. They are supervised by our GPs.

The surgery is closed everyday for lunchtime between 12:30 and 13:30. The phone lines will be open for emergency calls only during this time with normal service resuming at 13:30.

Please note that Mackenzie Way patients can ring the main surgery for emergencies and advise during surgery hours after 13:30 or if it is closed.

Changes to Surgery Hours

Please be aware that occasionally we need to close Old Road West Surgery for staff meetings or training. It is also sometimes necessary to close Mackenzie Way Surgery at short notice, due to staff absence or to alter surgery/opening hours due to the availability of clinicians or staff.  We try to keep any disruption to our normal surgery hours to a minimum.
